Title: Incertitude
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: pre-Iron Man
Genre: Drama
Rating: M / FRM / R
Characters: J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark (mentioned: Tony’s bots (DUM-E and U))
Pairing: Tony/OMC (+ referenced Tony/OFC)
Summary: J.A.R.V.I.S. is still learning, and when Tony brings home a male companion – the first one J.A.R.V.I.S. knows of – it raises some questions for the AI.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series.
Warnings: Implied sexual (m/m & f/m) content, mature language.

Teaser:

Tony pauses by one of the control screens on the way to the stairs, adjusting the safety parameters – the way he usually does before engaging in sexual activities which might alert J.A.R.V.I.S. to intervene for one reason or another. The man crowds him at the screen, wrapping his arms around Tony from behind, pressing in close, kissing his neck, forcing Tony to cock his head in order to keep his eyes on the screen as he finishes the adjustments and exits the menu.

Title: False Alarm
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: pre-Iron Man (pre-J.A.R.V.I.S.)
Genre: Fluff, family
Rating: K+ / FRC / PG
Characters: James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Tony Stark, Tony’s bots (DUM-E and U)
Summary: Tony turns his back for a minute and something catches fire. Fire means smoke, which makes for a need to vacate the premises until said smoke has cleared. Presented with a perfect opportunity to go grab a burger or two – and apparently turn some heads while he’s at it – Tony earns himself another ‘I told you not to do that’ speech from Rhodey.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series.
Warnings: Language, unsafe workshop practices, mild danger (fire hazard).

Teaser:

As he walked into the restaurant, he was aware of the looks he was garnering. He guessed it was the car, which was flashier than any other vehicle parked in the lot. People liked to stare, even when they thought they were being covert about it; Tony had lived in the limelight all his life, so he was used to it.

He slid his sunglasses up to his forehead to look at the menu, then spotted the staff starting at him as well. Tony offered them a quick, casual smile. In Malibu, spotting the odd celebrity or two was nothing out of the ordinary, but he supposed he was filling this joint’s daily quota all on his own. Deciding to let them stare, he went on picking items for his order.

“Sir?” one of the burger flippers asked cautiously. He was about Tony’s age, so there was no reason to say ‘sir’, but Tony looked at him indulgently anyway. “Are you okay?” the guy went on, still looking at him as if he had never seen anyone like Tony Stark.

“I’m fine, thanks,” Tony said, then stepped forward and started to rattle off his order.

Title: MK100: Dreamcatcher
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: Many years into the future
Genre: Sci-fi, general
Rating: T / FRT / PG-13
Characters: J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark (Iron Man). Mentioned: DUM-E & U (Tony’s bots).
Summary: He names the suit ‘Dreamcatcher’; the final step in the integration of mind and machine.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series (technopathy AUs).
Warnings: Language.

Teaser:

Hundreds of missions stood in between his newest project and the maiden flight of Mark II; dozens of battles to save the Earth and protect its people from a major global disaster. From day one he had poured his blood, sweat, and tears into this high-tech tin can project. He had experienced every pit-stop on the spectrum of human emotions inside the suit, from joy to devastating loss – from relaxed joyriding to the pain of shattered bones and torn flesh.

Most of that he had experienced alone and there were only a handful of people who could come even close to comprehending what it was like inside the suit, entering it without knowing whether he was getting back out alive.

Tony supposed it was fitting, then, that his hundredth armor would bring the only entity capable of sharing the burdens and perks of the suit that final crucial step closer to himself.

Title: Beneath the Skin
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: post-Iron Man 3
Genre: Drama, sci-fi
Rating: K+ / FRC / PG
Characters: J.A.R.V.I.S., Pepper Potts, James “Rhodey” Rhodes (War Machine), Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Summary: Pepper and Rhodey drop by Tony’s place for a relaxing afternoon, but end up discovering a secret Tony and J.A.R.V.I.S. have been keeping from everyone.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series (technopathy AUs).
Inspired by: Petra, a commenter on AO3.
Warnings: Language, theoretical mind-control.

Teaser:

It all looks quiet to the outside observer, but Pepper knows from experience that Tony could be performing a nuclear test on the premises and none of them would know before it’s too late. The sound isolation is top of the line, and most of Tony’s workspace is sunken deep into bedrock.

“Is he home?” Rhodey asks as they set off towards the main doors.

“Who knows,” Pepper shrugs. “I just want to change out of this suit, lie back in the sun and enjoy myself for a few hours.”

“Sounds good,” Rhodey agrees. He’s a man of action, but even his kind needs a break once in a while. “Wonder if Tony’s bots know how to serve drinks by now.”

“It’s amazing that wasn’t a built-in feature years ago,” Pepper laughs and opens the door for them.

Inside, it is quiet save for the soft music echoing through the extensive sound-system. Rhodey frowns instantly, looking at Pepper, and they walk further inside to investigate. The music is very new-age, the kind they play at spas and the yoga sessions Pepper’s attended for years whenever she can. It’s meant for relaxation and the calmness of the spirit, and for the life of her she can’t figure out why Tony would be playing something like that – until she does.

Iron Man - mark 42
Title: Dark Hours
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: Iron Man 3 & post-Iron Man 3
Genre: Angst, drama, hurt/comfort
Rating: T / FRT / PG-13
Characters: J.A.R.V.I.S., Pepper Potts, Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Pairing: Pepper/Tony (implied)
Summary: When their home crashes into the ocean in a blaze of fire and ruin, Pepper hopes for a sign but fears the worst. A month later, once it’s all over, Pepper has a conversation with J.A.R.V.I.S. to get some things off her chest.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series.
Written for: StarksViolet (FFnet)
Warnings: Implied canon-typical violence & danger.

Teaser:

For what seems like the umpteenth time, Pepper reaches into her pocket. The phone she grasps has seen better days, but is still operational. Accessing the familiar logo on the screen, she tries to connect with J.A.R.V.I.S., but like each time before, there is no response. She’d hoped it would be a temporary glitch due to the damage to the servers inside the destroyed building, but the AI remains unresponsive.

It doesn’t mean anything, she tells herself. J.A.R.V.I.S. and Tony may be connected to the hip in every way possible, but one’s silence doesn’t mean they are both offline…

Just because they argued and Tony is fully to blame for all this, it doesn’t mean she won’t be happy when she sees him again. There may even be tears, although she’s had way too much practice bracing herself whenever he pulls one of his stunts, defying death and all the odds going against him.

Title: Weapons of Choice
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Genre: General
Rating: T / FRT / PG-13
Characters: James “Rhodey” Rhodes (War Machine), Tony Stark (Iron Man). (Mentioned: Howard Stark.)
Summary: From their first meeting at MIT to the re-branding of War Machine after the mess with AIM, Rhodey knows Tony chose to be his friend – just like Tony chose to stop building weapons that could have changed the face of warfare, only to give birth to Iron Man; his greatest creation.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series.
Warnings: Implied underage drinking

Teaser:

Rhodey meets Tony at MIT. They’re not in the same class, with Rhodey being a freshman while Tony’s in his second year, but Rhodey immediately knows who the kid is: Tony Stark, son of Howard Stark. A prodigy, ahead of his time and ahead of his class even here where the playing field should be evened out by the simple rules of maturity.

There’s nothing simple about Tony.

Title: Protocol
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: after ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Iron Man 3’
Genre: Drama
Rating: T / FRT / PG-13
Characters: Nick Fury, J.A.R.V.I.S., Pepper Potts, Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Summary: Considering his past with S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony has difficulties following certain rules. Fury does not appreciate this and attempts to use Pepper to convey his feelings to Mr. Stark – only to be informed that he should look in the mirror before making such requests. It would also seem J.A.R.V.I.S. has the strongest moral compass of them all – at least in theory.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series.
Written for: a prompt on avengerkink.
Warnings: Language.

Teaser:

“How can I help you, Director?” Pepper asks to move things along. “Is there anything S.H.I.E.L.D. needs that we have not already discussed?”

“My visit pertains to a more… personal matter,” Fury confesses. “You may be aware that Tony Stark has been working in conjunction with S.H.I.E.L.D. since the Battle of New York.”

“I am aware,” Pepper nods.

“We have allowed him certain freedoms within S.H.I.E.L.D., for him to be able to work on the projects we have agreed upon, but in the last week alone there have been five breaches of our security by Mr. Stark.”

Title: Broken Howl
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: The Avengers (MCU)
Genre: Action, drama
Rating: M / FRM
Characters: Bruce Banner (Hulk), Clint Barton (Hawkeye), J.A.R.V.I.S., Steve Rogers (Captain America), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Tony Stark (Iron Man), Thor. Small appearances by: Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, James “Rhodey” Rhodes (War Machine).
Pairings: Bruce/Tony, Tony/OFC
Summary: Tony is left behind after an incident on an alien moon. Thor is convinced Tony will never be the same if he survives; Bruce is furious; Steve remains riddled with guilt. Tony, in the meanwhile, struggles to come to terms with his new state of being – then finds himself torn away from the little bit of happiness he’s found.
Complete.
Warnings: Character death (non-canon character), murder & violence, body transformation, mild sexual content both slash and het (m/m, f/m), language.

Teaser:

Tony flew ahead, to see whether he might be able to spot the space ship that had been mentioned – then saw movement on the ground. He flew lower, circling overhead, checking out the group of twelve. Almost all of them seemed to be of various, different species, which was strange. Tony had expected them to look the same, but instead if felt like a collect-them-all kind of array.

He flew back to the others, since communications didn’t work away from Earth, and gave them his report.

“That is them,” Thor said grimly. “They have gathered their members from all over the worlds, most places unknown even to us. Many of them have died in battle, but a few always survive and then spread out again to add to their ranks.”

“Must be an awesome sales pitch,” Clint noted. “Join us and raid places.”

“They are bound together by their disease,” Thor corrected. “Once you are bitten, you become one of them.”

“Wait,” Tony raised a hand. “Bitten? You mean this virus thing does something to whoever it’s transmitted to?”

“Like a werewolf, or a vampire,” Clint grinned. “Good thing I’m more prepared than good ol’ Van Helsing,” he noted, patting his quiver.

Tony was pretty sure he was the only one who got that reference.

Title: Hulk and Puppy
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: The Avengers (MCU)
Genre: Drama
Rating: M / FRM / R
Characters: Bruce Banner (Hulk), Tony Stark (Iron Man). Also: Clint Barton (Hawkeye), J.A.R.V.I.S., Pepper Potts, James “Rhodey” Rhodes (War Machine), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Thor, Tony’s bots (DUM-E and U).
Pairings: Bruce/Tony (implied/past Tony/OFC)
Summary: In the past year and a half, Tony had been infected by an alien werewolf, got lost in space, returned home and was reunited with his friends and teammates. His life should have gone back to normal but the world seemed obsessed with his new hairier, feral side instead, and it didn’t help that the Hulk kept calling him ‘Puppy’ and wanting to pet him. If only that were the least of his problems.
Sequel to “Broken Howl”.
Warnings: Sexual content (M/M, very mild/borderline/not-really-bestiality), canonical violence, language, vaguely implied death (including death of a child).

Teaser:

“Replay.”

A minute pause before the video shifted back to the beginning was enough for Tony to shift in his seat; he tightened his half-curled position in the chair and started to idly bite his fingers, eyes trained on the screen.

He didn’t recall having attacked the chemist’s lab in as much detail as the video showed. They were supposed to have come unnoticed and unexpectedly, but something must have gone wrong because the moment Iron Man took down the bolted door, a tank full of some very strong acid broke right above him.

On screen, it was hard to tell how badly he had started inside the suit.

The communications track attached to the video did, however, capture the first exclamation of pain as the acid burned through a section of the suit at the armpit, and that was when everything went to hell.

Title: Painless
Author: Del Rion (delrion.mail (at) gmail.com)
Fandom: Iron Man (MCU)
Timeline: somewhere between “Iron Man 2” and “The Avengers”
Genre: General, drama
Rating: T / FRT / PG-13
Characters: J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark (Iron Man). Also: James “Rhodey” Rhodes (War Machine).
Summary: Tony gets injured in battle and J.A.R.V.I.S. forgets to inform him about it – for his own good, apparently.
Complete. Part of “Genius, AI & Bots” series.
Warnings: Brief canonical violence, injury, language.

Teaser:

Tony slowly awakens to a buzz of voices around him and starts painfully as he discovers he is not at home; instead of being surrounded by the familiarity of his lab, the armor is standing on the vast deck of an aircraft carrier in a crowd of seamen, airmen - and one James Rhodes.

“Tony?” he hears Rhodey call out to him.

“Where the hell are we?” Tony blinks at the HUD, which is suspiciously blank in front of him.

“The CVN-69, sir,” J.A.R.V.I.S. replies, then clarifies for Tony’s bleary brain: “USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier.”

“Why?” Tony asks.
